SpaceX, OneWeb, and Iridium worked together with the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) to produce Satellite Orbital Safety Best Practices, which discusses and documents best practices for low Earth orbit (LEO) operations. Leveraging the work of others, including NASA, the 18th Space Control Squadron, Secure World Foundation, and the Space Safety Coalition, Satellite Orbital Safety Best Practices provides a consolidated, high-level set of recommended best practices that span design, launch, orbital operations, and disposal.
