Steven Platts is Chief Scientist for NASA’s Human Research Program at Johnson Space Center, leading efforts to protect astronaut health during space exploration. With expertise in physiology and space medicine, he directs research to mitigate risks of long-duration missions, including cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, and behavioral challenges.
