Harriet Brettle is Executive Director of the Keck Institute for Space Studies (KISS). Previously, she served as Head of Market Analysis and Business Intelligence within the Connectivity & Secure Communications Directorate at the European Space Agency (ESA).

Before joining ESA, Brettle was Head of Business Analysis at Astroscale, a company focused on sustainable space services and space debris mitigation. She also served as Chair of the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC), an international nonprofit organization that connects students and young professionals with opportunities across the global space industry.

Brettle holds a master’s degree in Planetary Science from California Institute of Technology (Caltech).
