Lynn Pickett
Program Manager for Human Health and Performance Contract, KBR
Lynn Pickett serves KBR in the Science and Space business unit of Mission Technology Solutions as Program Manager for the Human Health and Performance Contract (HHPC) at NASA Johnson Space Center. Mrs. Pickett is a results-oriented science and engineering manager with extensive experience in project management and program planning. She has a history of providing strategic insight to help programs overcome obstacles and achieve success. She executes a hands-on and team-oriented management style, fostering open communication and trust among colleagues. Her greatest assets are in helping clients solve their toughest problems by creating clear action plans and building/empowering teams to deliver quality results.
Mrs. Pickett began her career conducting research on the vestibular system at NASA Ames Research Center and went on to train astronauts to conduct science in space and helped integrate science payloads for flight during the NASA Shuttle-Mir and ISS programs. She led a crew and ground support personnel training team and was an increment lead for the Human Research Facility Program. Mrs. Pickett managed the HHPC human factors and system management team providing human factors research and support for hardware and systems going to the International Space Station, Orion, and Commercial Crew vehicles. She has also served as the REMIS Rodent Research Program Manager, leading her team to complete mission integration and operations for NASA rodent research missions. As the Program Manager for HHPC, she leads a team of medical, science and engineering professionals to protect the health and performance of crew and conduct the research to answer questions to enable longer and further spaceflight.
Mrs. Pickett graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and is a certified Professional Project Manager.
