Mission Segment Vice President Exploration, Weather & Commercial (EWC), Lockheed Martin Space

A people first executive leader, Kevin Au serves as the Mission Segment Vice President of the Exploration, Weather, Commercial & Nuclear Mission Areas within the Civil & Commercial Space Line of Business. He oversees multi‑functional teams developing and delivering critical technologies to enable advanced weather monitoring, sustained human presence on the lunar and Martian surfaces, and support deep‑space exploration missions.

Previously, Kevin served as the Vice President of Global Security, National Security Space Line of Business where he was responsible for the delivery of critical capabilities to meet the most pressing needs of our government and military customers. Kevin was also the Executive Director for Mission Delivery, Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) in the United Kingdom, where he formed and led a large program‑management organization for the production and development of weapons systems supporting the UK’s Continuous-At‑Sea‑Deterrence (CASD) mission.

Kevin is a seasoned executive leader with over 23 years of experience in developing and leading high performing teams on complex missions for domestic and international customers. He has held key assignments in program management, supply chain management, and technical leadership. Previous roles include Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) Deputy Program Manager & Space Segment Director, Redesigned Kill Vehicle (RKV) Program Manager and head of Supply Chain for the Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) mission area.

Kevin earned his Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Engineering Mechanics from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and his Master of Science (Honors) in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He also holds a Certificate in Engineering Management from the University of California.

He is a proud graduate of the Lockheed Martin Leadership Excellence Assessment and Development (LEAD) program, Program Management Development Program (PMDP), Executive Development & Growth Enhancement (EDGE) program and Engineering Leadership Development Program (ELDP). Kevin is the recipient of numerous awards, including the prestigious Lockheed Martin Nova Award.
