Joe Landon
Co-Founder & President, Rendezvous Robotics
Joe Landon is a senior space industry executive and entrepreneur. He is Co-Founder and President of Rendezvous Robotics, a space infrastructure company pioneering modular, autonomous systems designed to transform how spacecraft are built and assembled in orbit.
Previously, Landon served as CEO of Crescent Space Services, a Lockheed Martin subsidiary developing commercial communications and navigation services for lunar missions. He also served as Vice President of Advanced Programs Development at Lockheed Martin Space, where he led strategy, business development, and research and development for the company’s multibillion-dollar Commercial Civil Space portfolio. Earlier in his career, Landon was CFO of Planetary Resources, a pioneering commercial space company that helped spark private-sector interest in asteroid mining and space resources.
Landon serves as Special Advisor to the President of the International Astronautical Federation on Sustainability, Investment, and Security. He is also a member of the International Academy of Astronautics and an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
He earned an undergraduate degree in Engineering Physics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, a master’s degree in aerospace engineering from University of Southern California, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
