Patrick O’Neill

Public Affairs and Outreach Lead, CASIS/ISS National Laboratory

As Public Affairs and Outreach Lead on behalf of the International Space Station (ISS) U.S. National Laboratory, Patrick O’Neill is responsible for external communications distributed to targeted media partners and the public at-large, promoting the benefits and capabilities that exist through research onboard humankind’s greatest technical achievement. By working with NASA and other government agencies, commercial companies, academia, and other key stakeholders, it is O’Neill’s responsibility to develop and implement compelling narratives that bring awareness to the research taking place sponsored by the ISS National Lab and the benefit that it has on Earth.

O’Neill has been in association with the ISS National Lab for nearly a decade, and has been responsible for the development and execution of outreach initiatives associated with some of the more recognizable companies, brands, and funding agencies in the world who have utilized the orbiting laboratory for space-based R&D. Including (but not limited to); Adidas, Apple, Budweiser, Cobra Puma Golf, Colgate-Palmolive, Delta Faucet, Disney, Eli Lilly, Google, Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, Hewlett Packard, Lamborghini, Lucasfilm, Marvel Entertainment, Merck, The Michael J. Fox Foundation, National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, Nickelodeon, and Procter & Gamble. O’Neill has a bachelor’s in communication from San Diego State University and has amassed more than 15 years of experience within the marketing, communications, and public affairs disciplines.
