Mina Takla is the Co-founder & CEO of CosmoX, Inc., a privately-held US C-Corporation registered in the state of Delaware. CosmoX is an early-stage OSAM startup that ensures the safety, security, and sustainability of the space domain while contributing to a circular in-space economy.
Aiming to empower the next generation of space leaders and give back to the space community, he contributed to public awareness and capacity-building activities in a volunteering capacity on the side as a National Coordinator at the Moon Village Association, National Point of Contact (NPoC) at the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC), the Programme Lead for SG[Egypt], and a member of the partnerships/programs team for the World Space Week Association (WSWA).
Takla was awarded the SGAC Global Grants Programme 2020, the 2021 African Space Industry’s Top 10 Under 30, and the 2021 ASCEND Space Traffic Management Diverse Dozen awards. He holds a BSc in Rocket Complexes and Astronautical Engineering from Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University), holds a certificate in New Ventures Leadership from and is an alum of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Global Entrepreneurship Bootcamp (GEB), and is a Master’s candidate in Satellite Technology – Advanced Space Systems at the Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg. He is a member of SGAC, IAF, MVA, IISC, SSPI, MIT Bootcamps Alumni, YC Startup School, and an observer on the Global Expert Group on Sustainable Lunar Activities (GEGSLA).
Serving as the National Point of Contact for Egypt at the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC), he coordinated various SGAC projects, events, and activities. Takla is eager to address complex, multidimensional, and interdisciplinary problems facing the space industry through his contributions to several publications at the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) and UN/IAF Workshops. Attending various conferences, workshops, and symposia, he has a keen interest in the latest developments in the industry and is constantly trying to stay ahead of the curve in terms of state-of-the-art technologies and business development strategies. Moreover, he helped build and implement, a National Lunar exploration roadmap for Egypt, supported by the Egyptian Space Agency, as part of the MVA Participation of Emerging Space Countries project.
